Day 2 Cairns to Gosford 3rd September 2009

Stayed the night at Airlie Beach at a motel called Club Crocodile. It was very nice!

Casual dress as we did a quick tour around town.

Look I'm over here!

I'm the bald headed one

Airlee Beach a must stop for anyone travelling through here

Just had to have a coffee break. Well it did start to drizzel a bit.

Stopped here at Sarina to have lunch. Very expensive I thought. $25.00 for two hamburgers and two cans of drink.

Thought this was unusual, a tree growing out of an old trunk.

Connie checking to see if we have mobile phone coverage.

We arrived in Rockhampton at about 6.00pm. Found a motel in town after searching for some time.
It was dark so we did not get to take any photo's except for this one when we were leaving in the morning.

We drove into Galdstone. I was most impressed with the huge amount of industry here

Yet the town centre was nicely beautified. This is Connie at the information Centre.

A friendly lady at the Info Centre suggested the lighthouse cafe as one of the best places to have breakfast. She was right, they made a delicious meal for us, and great coffee too.

Beach near 1770

We stayed the night at a resort near a town called 1770. We were lucky that if was off season, so there was hardly anyone there.

The room was virtually new, a welcome change to a very long ride.

Had the whole place to ourselves. I had a swim in the heated pool.

Connie and I took a walk on the beach near were we stayed.
