V - Strom Gathering 2010 Urunga NSW

On May 1st I took a ride with my buddy Clive to the V Strom 2010 Gathering at Urungu NSW. I rode to Clive's place from Gosford to Raymond Terrace on Friday night, it was raining something fiece and it was dark when I arrived. Riding in the rain at night is no fun, especially on country roads with no street lights.
Anyways Clive and Dale were great hosts and served up a delicious dinner. That evening we had a few beers and watched Charlie Borman's new DVD, " By Any Means Sydney to Tokyo".
We left early the next morning and headed up in the rain to Gloucester where we had Breaky.

This is where we had Breakfast. Ordered Eggs and Bacon....nice!

Clive admiring the veiw. Finally sunshine!

This is me, have to say that Clive is a more skilled rider then me so he is usally in front most times waiting for me to catch up. But he never complains.

A quick fill up, both bikes and ourselves

Me again!

Clive just checking in with Dale on the phone.

Rode into Urunga and found the Hotel and Campground.

It was about 3.00pm so we got ourselves some hamburgers and chips for lunch.

Met some of the other V Strom riders, great bunch of blokes!

This is Richard's bike the Travelling Strom! Check out his blog http://www.travellingstrom.com/ he has been all over America, Canada and South America on a Strom and has only come back to Australia recently.

This guy was great, we called him "Sparkles" because he had so many lights on his bike.

Clive just relaxing.

And me too!

These are some of the fellas at the gathering.

We managed to raise some money for some Charities on the night as well.

This is Richard the "Travelling Strom" giving us a slide show on some of his adventures overseas. He's quite a character and had lots of intersesting things to talk about. There was also Margaret who also gave us a slide show and talk about her adventures overseas, unfortunatley I did not get a picture of her.

The next morning most of us lined up our bikes outside the Urunga Hotel for a photo shoot.

This guy won an award for the most 'Farkled Bike", which means the bike with the most added gadgets!

Morning at the campground.

The campground was adjacent to a national park and next to the beach.
I must say that it was very nice and clean. Here's the link for the campground http://www.urungaheads.com.au/

We stopped at some sites on the way back down the coast.

Clive looking like a regular tourist.

There where many beautiful places on the way back home, Australia has some magic scenary.
